Devices for Dignity Celebrates the Launch of New Voice Mobile App to Empower Public Involvement in Health Research

Partners of Devices for Dignity, The NIHR HealthTech Research Centre in Long Term-conditions, Voice, have released a new exciting app to help people get involved with healthtech research and innovation. Founded in 2007, Voice is a growing global community and digital platform embedded within Newcastle University's UK National Innovation Centre for Ageing (NICA). It bridges the gap between researchers, business innovators, and the public by harnessing the lived experiences and insights of ordinary people, helping to shape the conversation on ageing. Through co-design workshops, advisory panels, and polls, Voice ensures that new research, policies, and health technologies are built around real human needs to support healthy longevity.

The official release of the new Voice mobile app is an exciting step in making public participation in healthtech research and development more accessible. The launch of the app provides a streamlined, user-friendly platform that empowers individuals to share their lived experiences and directly shape the future of healthcare innovation right from their smartphones.
